武夷山在中国福建省的西北部。它的自然风光独特,最有名的是九曲溪。九曲溪曲折蜿蜒,全长62.8公里,两岸分布着各种奇峰和峭壁,山上的植被非常茂盛,是世界上优秀的亚热带林区,保存着大量古老的珍稀动植物。

 

Mount Wuyi is located in the northwest of Fujian Province. Among all the unique natural scenery of Mount Wuyi, Jiuqu River (also called Nine Bend River) is the most famous. The winding and zigzagging Jiuqu River is 62.8 kilometers long. All sorts of exotic peaks and precipices can be found on its banks and the mountain slopes are covered with lush vegetation. Mount Wuyi preserves a diverse array of rare and primitive flora and fauna, and can be considered one of the world’s most outstanding semi-tropical forest areas.

  武夷山的文化遗迹也很多。这是宋朝朱熹创办的“武夷精舍”书院遗址。朱熹是继孔子之后中国历史上最伟大的思想家、哲学家和教育家。武夷山是朱子理学的发祥地。

 

 

Mount Wuyi also contains a large number of cultural relics. This is the site of the Wuyi Study, also called Ziyang Academy of Classical Learning, which was established by Zhu Xi during the Song Dynasty. Zhu Xi is regarded as the greatest Chinese ideologist, philosopher and educationalist after Confucius. Mount Wuyi was the cradle of Zhu Xi’s philosophy.

  武夷山还保存着400多块从宋朝到清朝的摩崖石刻。

 

Over 400 stone inscriptions, carved from the period of the Song Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, are preserved on the cliff of Mount Wuyi.

  距今3700多年的悬棺也在山中,至今仍是一个谜。

 

Mount Wuyi’s hanging coffins, which date back to over 3,700 years ago, still remain a mystery to this day.

  武夷山的物产资源丰富,野生山菇、食用菌、白莲等闻名海内外。武夷岩茶被列为中国十大名茶之一,茶王“大红袍”更是茶中极品   Mount Wuyi offers an abundance of world-famous natural resources and products, including wild mushrooms, edible fungi and white lotuses. Wuyi rock tea has been ranked as one of the top ten famous teas in China. The high-quality Dahongpao tea (literally “Large Red Robe”)—known as the “king of the teas”—is one of the most renowned Wuyi oolong teas.

  1999年,武夷山被列入《世界遗产名录》。

 

Mount Wuyi was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999.
