The regions of China most famous for producing clay figures are Wuxi City’s Huishan District, the Tianjin Municipality (known for production of “Clay Figure Zhang”), Shaanxi Province’s Fengxiang County, Hebei Province’s Baigou Township, and Shandong Province’s Gaomi County, etc.

Clay sculptures are generally small in size and can be used as decorations or furnishings for any interior space. For these reasons, many Chinese people use them to decorate their homes or give them as gifts to friends and relatives.
