Advanced
Chinese Audiovisual-Speaking Course is a multi-dimensional comprehensive
language teaching material prepared to meet the urgent demand for intermediate
and advanced Chinese audiovisual-speaking materials for front line teaching. It

This volume is Advanced Chinese

conflicts, personal feelings and life decisions. Each topic contains 2 lessons, with a total of 8
lessons. Each lesson contains seven parts: learning objectives, warm-up,
pre-class preparation, video and text learning, post-class investigation,
comprehensive exercises and activities, and cultural connections, with each
lesson equipped with teaching materials and each exercise provided with QR

Chen Tianxu, Ph.D. of Carnegie Mellon University, USA, is now an
associate professor and the head of the international undergraduate department
of the College of International Education, Minzu University of China, as well
as the deputy director of the Open Research Center for Language Teaching,
Cognition and Acquisition. Professor Chen has been engaged in international
Chinese language education for many years, and has taught Chinese language in
many universities at home and abroad, including Beijing Language and Culture
University, University of South Carolina, and Carnegie Mellon University. He
