One World, One Family, specially designed by Center for Language Education and Cooperation, is a Chinese book for “Chinese Bridge” contestants. This book contains about 100 quotes in eight languages, including Chinese, English, French, Russian, Spanish, Arabic, Japanese and Korean, centering on the themes of “One World, One Family”, “Achieving Universal Peace”, and “Human Community with a Shared Future”. Centering on the theme of “One World, One Family”, this book is divided into six units, namely shared destiny, peaceful coexistence, good-neighborly friendship, mutual learning among civilizations, tolerance and mutual respect, and cooperative development. Each unit is composed of 10-30 quotes in various languages, and each quote consists of the quote in the original language, its Chinese translation, the author’s information, the background information and analysis, etc. The connotations of the quotes and their value in the contemporary times are comprehensively explained. Each quote has the accompanying recording for users to listen and read.

Han Jingtai, the lead author, is the Director and Chief Expert of Beijing Capital International Culture Research Base of Philosophical and Social Sciences and the Editor-in-Chief of Chinese Culture Research. He is also a board member of Ancient Chinese Literature Society, Ancient Chinese Literary Theory Society, Society for Song Dynasty Literature, and Chinese Society for Laoshe Studies. His research areas include Chinese classical poetry, ancient Chinese poetry, ancient Chinese intellectual history and other humanities. He has published many monographs on literary and artistic criticism. With a strong political ideology, he is able to fully understand and implement the ideas of Center for Language Education and Cooperation.
