Divided into two volumes, A Study of the
Construction of Grammar Resources for International Chinese Language Education
Based on the New Standard System (also known as 100
Points of Teaching Grammar) gives detailed analysis to the 100 essential
core language points in the primary stage with reference to the newly published Chinese Proficiency Level Standards of International Chinese Education.
Each language point is subdivided into such modules as grammar item name,
grammatical meaning and function, grammar knowledge reserve, core teaching
ideas, errors, class description, introduction, positive examples and
structure, negative examples and structure, questioning examples and structure,
drills, classroom activities and exercises and tests, which not only provides
theoretical knowledge of teaching grammar, but also provides specific
procedures and steps of classroom grammar teaching for international Chinese
teachers from the level of teaching practice and rich and practical classroom
activities and practice methods.
Wang Zhimin, doctor, professor and tutor of Ph.D.
candidatesin Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU), serves as chief
expert of National Social Science Major Projects and vice president of the
Research Institute of International Chinese Language Education, BLCU. Her research
mainly focuses on international Chinese education, computational linguistics,
and Chinese grammar. In 2012, she went to the Confucius Institute of the
University of Sheffield to serve as the Chinese Director, and won the “Excellent
Sample Course” award in the training system solicitation for the CTCSOL. In
recent years, Prof. Wang has presided over 1 national social science major
project, 2 National Natural Science Foundation projects, 2 Humanities and
Social Science Foundation projects of the Ministry of Education, 1 key project
of 2020 under the 13th Five-Year Plan of Scientific Research of the State
Language Commission, 1 project of National Language Resources Monitoring and
Research Center, 1 open project of State Key Laboratory, 1 Wutong Platform team
project of Beijing Language and Culture University. She has been selected as
one of the leading talents of Beijing Language and Culture University, the
first-class team talent support program, and the middle-aged and young backbone
foundation support program, and has published more than 60 papers, 2
monographs, 2 invention patents, and 1 report on capital and government.
The author group counted 10 sets of
international Chinese education textbooks widely used at present, with a total
of 37 volumes, covering 2,106 language points, and carefully selected100 items as
essential core language points for primary Chinese teaching, combining with
years of teaching experience.
2. The arrangement of language points is in
close accordance with Chinese Proficiency
Level Standards of International Chinese Language Education.
The arrangement of language points takes
full account of the degree of difficulty, and follows the principle of gradual
progress from easy to difficult which presents a spiral rise.
3. There is more detailed and practical
guidance for teaching practice.
Each
language point is subdivided into several modules, from the grammatical meaning
and function of language points, to the analysis of the difficulty of language
points, the analysis of students’ knowledge reserves, teaching ideas, and then
to the actual teaching process (leading-blackboard writing-format
summary-drill-classroom activities-students’ possible errors-testing), with
each link necessary and detailed.
