This is an accompanying exercise book of Physics (2nd Edition), a textbook for
Chinese government scholarship students, and is suitable for pre-university
students who come to China to study physics. It includes the summary and
organization of the basic knowledge, detailed explanation of the exercises at
the back of the book, self-test questions, exercises for chapters and detailed
explanation of answers, etc. From the perspective of Chinese learning, this
book organizes and sorts out the important knowledge in the textbook. Based on
the outline and oriented to the test, it helps students lay a solid foundation
to learn physics using Chinese, expands and complements the contents of the
physics textbook, thus making the pre-university course more connected to
university teaching.
Zhang Di is a teacher of International School of Chinese Studies,
Northeast Normal University with a Master’s degree in Physics Education. He has
been working on pre-university education for foreigners studying in China since
2016, with his focus on teaching pre-university physics. In accordance with its

teaching for many years, including “solid-state physics”, “college physics (in mechanics)”,
“basic physical experiments”, “comprehensive physical experiments” and other
undergraduate courses. The reform of physics teaching mode based on “phenomenal
problems”, which he carried out as the main implementer, won the first prize of
teaching achievement in Jilin Province in 2018, and the “basic physical experiment”
he taught won the first-class undergraduate course in Jilin Province in 2020.
