Chinese New Vision – College Chinese Course is a series of Chinese textbooks for students who take Chinese as their major or selective course in Korean-speaking area. Altogether there are 8 volumes, each of which includes a Student's Book, a Workbook, a Teacher’s Book, and an accompanied free MP3 CD, designed for four years'curriculum. Taking into consideration the characteristics of Korean-speaking students'pronunciation and Korean grammar, the series take full advantage of the similarities between Chinese and Korean to help students learn the Chinese language; meanwhile it also pays attention to the difference and difficult points. Adopting the "cognitive functional approach", it helps students to maximize the effectiveness of learning within the shortest time. Volume 1 has been published. Volumes 2 to 4 will be published this year and 5 to 8 will be published next year.
Jin Lixin, professor in College of International Education, Shanghai International Studies University, has published more than 70 papers on linguistics, modern Chinese grammar, language teaching in academic publications at home and abroad; and more than 70 papers on popular linguistics in the mass publications. His research centers on linguistic theories, modern Chinese grammar and teaching Chinese as a second language. He has undertaken two projects of the Office of Chinese Language Council International on Chinese research and textbook development, and has paid academic visits to Korea and Japan for many times.
Meng Zhuyi is a professor in Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, president of Korean Chinese Education Association, and vice president of the International Society for Chinese Language Teaching.
