This book mainly deals with two themes: traditional Chinese culture
and the pedagogy of international Chinese education.
It is divided into four chapters. The first chapter focuses on the
traditional cultural quality and intercultural communication ability of
teachers of international Chinese education. The second chapter introduces the
life story of Confucius and The Analects and compares the Confucian and Mohist thoughts. The third chapter talks about
the culture of Qi and Lu and the contemporary literature of Shandong. The
fourth chapter lists examples of some pedagogical approaches to international
Chinese education.
The author focuses his attention on the Confucian culture, the core
of Chinese culture, and Shandong culture, an important regional culture, and by
giving examples of pedagogical approaches, explains how to integrate cultural education
into international Chinese education.
Li Jun, deputy dean and professor of the Faculty of Arts, Qufu
Normal University, mainly engages in the research on the history of Chinese
literature and thinking in the 20th century. Professor Li teaches several
mainstay courses to the undergraduate and graduate students, including contemporary
Chinese literature, studies of Hong Kong and Taiwan literature, topical
research on contemporary Chinese literature, etc. Li has hosted several
academic projects and published dozens of articles in core journals.
