The Korean-Chinese
Express: An Advanced Translation Course is an
intermediate/advanced Korean-Chinese translation course book designed for
undergraduate Korean students who have come to China to study Chinese. The
translation explanations and training practices in this book develop from
words, clauses, complex sentences to paragraphs and different styles of text.
Each unit focuses on one Korean-Chinese translation project, divided into two
or three related lessons, each of which deals with one or two problems or
difficulties Korean students of intermediate/advanced Chinese usually encounter
in their studies.
Hwang Lahnah (Korean) has got PhD degrees in Confucius China
Studies Program and BLCU Research Institute of International Chinese Language
Education, and Keimyung University (South Korea), and is a certified
Chinese-Korean translator verified by South Korea’s International Interpretation
and Translation Association. Dr. Hwang has been a Korean teacher in Keimyung
University and Beijing International Studies University and has published
several papers in Korean and Chinese language teaching.
Yu Miao, Master in Chinese from Harbin Normal University and on-the-job
PhD from the School of Chinese as a Second Language at Peking University, has
taught in the School of Humanities in Daegu University (South Korea) during
2001–2002, given a Chinese course in the Department of Modern Languages at Monterrey
Institute of Technology and Higher Education (Mexico) during 2006–2008, and is
now the Deputy Dean of the School of International Education of Chinese
Language at Beijing International Studies University.
