As the main language textbook of “A Series of Specified
Chinese Textbooks for Foreigners Studying in China ·Business Chinese”, this is
a specialized Chinese language textbook for students who are going to major in
economics and trade in college. The main objective of this course is to develop
international students’ basic Chinese knowledge and skills in economics and
trade, remove their language barriers and provide necessary language support
for their majors. Business Chinese-Reading is a Chinese language
teaching material which focuses on studying the high-frequency words in
economics and trade, takes the Chinese language training as the guideline and
combines the task-based teaching method with the teaching of their majors. It can
be used in Chinese language compulsory course by students that are going to
major economics and trade in college, and can also be used by other

Zhang Xiaofeng is a PhD in Literature, an associate professor and a
postgraduate tutor. He is a member of Jiangsu Linguistic Society who has been
teaching in the International College for Chinese Studies of Nanjing Normal
University since 2003. Mr. Zhang is mainly responsible for teaching the main
courses for Chinese and foreign students, such as Modern Chinese, Business
Chinese, Advanced Journal Reading, Teaching Chinese as a Second Language,
Teaching and Research of Chinese Elements, and is devoted to the visualization
research of modern Chinese tone and mood and language knowledge. He has
participated in the authoring of Business Chinese— Reading and has
published more than 10 papers.
Yang
Juan, a lecturer with a PhD in Literature, has been teaching at the
International College for Chinese Studies of Nanjing Normal University since
2007. From September 2013 to August 2016, she was expatriated as a Chinese
teacher to the Confucius Institute of Pace University in New York, U.S.A. In
2019, she was awarded the “Top Ten in Teaching” in the 12th Young Teachers
Teaching Competition of Nanjing Normal University. Her research mainly focuses
on sociolinguistics, Chinese grammar, and teaching Chinese as a foreign
language. She has published more than 10 papers in Rhetoric Learning, Journal
of Chinese Language Teaching and Research in the U.S., Sinology Studies and
other journals.
