Zhang Wangxi is Director of Chinese Language Proficiency Test Center, Beijing Language and Culture University, Research Fellow and PhD. students' supervisor of Beijing Language and Culture University. He has written many monographs, such as A Semantic Study of the Unique Syntactic Structures in Chinese, Research and Review of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, A Study for Cognitive Semantics in Chinese Syntax, An Introduction to Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (co-writer) etc. He is the Editor-in-chief of Explorations on Cognition and Function of Chinese Grammar and has published nearly 40 academic papers of various kinds.
