Based on the training of basic sentence patterns, it reinforces the learning  of  phonetics  and  grammar  through  “Repeated  Drill”.There  are  four  volumes  containing  66  lessons,  each  of  which has sections such as pronunciation, grammar, new words and exercises, reading and retelling of the texts, table of stroke orders,etc.

Sentence Patterns(2) is composed of 16 lessons, each covering four class hours. It will take altogether 264 class hours to finish the four volumes of Sentence Patterns. The series of Sentence Patterns includes 2200 new words in total. Each lesson in the series consists of contents like new words, new words and practice, sentences and dialogues, refresher training, retelling, reading, grammar and the stroke order of Chinese characters. Sentence Patterns and Chinese Characters and Reading can be used together and are both textbooks for the first semester.
