Shi Feng is a professor of Nankai University and the head of its Institute of Linguistics. Prof Shi is also the chief editor of the journal Nankai Linguistics as well as the chairman of Tianjin Linguistic Society. Mr. Shi has successively been a part-time professor at Minzu University of China and Beijing Language and Culture University of China, a researcher at City University of Hong Kong, a visiting professor at Nagoya Gakuin University and a professor of the summer Chinese programs for postgraduates at Middlebury College, the United States. Prof Shi’s interests of research include experimental linguistics, language acquisition and language contact. He has already published over 140 academic papers and more than 10 academic books in China and abroad.
