stylistic grammar as its theoretical foundations, this book systematically introduces
Chinese four-character phrases as a specific representation of the special
prosodic system of Chinese from various aspects, including the prosodic and
grammatical features, the two basic formations and corresponding patterns of
stress, and the stylistic and syntactic functions, etc.
Zhu Saiping, born in 1982 in Wenzhou, Zhejiang
Province, graduated from Beijing Language and Culture University. Now Ms. Zhu
is a Ph.D. candidate in linguistics and applied linguistics, studying Chinese
prosodic syntax after Professor Feng Shengli. She has published several
academic papers in Language Teaching and
Linguistic Studies, Chinese Language
