collection of essays.

Psychological
verb is a semantic subclass of verbs and an atypical member of the verb category.
This book provides theoretical elaboration on the scope and definition of
Chinese psycho-verbs, the demarcation between psycho-verbs and related lexical
categories, the aspect, autonomy, and valency of psycho-verbs, the ability of
combining psycho-verbs and adverbs of degree, and how psycho-verbs can be used
with object, in negative sentences, cause, and the passive sentences, among
other basic issues. Taking the above contents as an outline, the book analyses
from the syntactic and lexical levels, extends a number of related
micro-knowledge points, combines macro and micro, and similar micro-knowledge
points, and helps readers clarify the knowledge system and theoretical
framework of psycho-verbs by chunking analysis.
